Alex was raised in Kelowna, British Columbia, Canada, where she felt she never quite fit in because she knew there was more waiting for her outside of the small-town bubble. At age 18, Alex was awarded a scholarship and had her first taste of adventure, moving to Trois-Rivérès, Quebec - not knowing a single soul (or much French for that matter!). After experiencing the sweet taste of freedom and adventure, her perspective shifted. She wasn’t done learning and she had a keen desire to serve and help others. She took her people first focus and moved to Calgary and began her journey into Social Work and worked as a Social Worker in a number of capacities. After experiencing burnout, she quickly realized this wasn’t the path for her and decided it was okay to change her mind, and spent the next six years doing just that. Alex hopped from university to university and program to program, eventually graduating from Royal Roads University with a Degree in Professional Communications.

She spent 12+ years working across Canada, the US, and the Middle East in high-profile stakeholder relations, communications, and PR roles. This work led to some amazing experiences, which included working amongst the likes of Former US President Obama and his Energy Administration, Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, Dr. Jane Goodall, Michelle Kwan, Shaun White, and Ibtihaj Muhammad. While (like any highlight reel), these experiences were incredible, Alex was always left feeling like there was more out there for her. To everyone else, she looked successful, but by her own measure, she was unfulfilled and had an entrepreneurial itch that she was constantly attempting to scratch.

Over the years when Alex worked full-time, she consistently worked on her side hustles, exploring her passion and finding her way. She dabbled in many different businesses from starting a PR firm with two friends to creating an online clothing store to operating as a freelance publicist and communications expert, to running a doggie daycare and dog-walking service. She is no stranger to starting businesses and she knows from real experience what works and what doesn’t. So after much reflection, she decided to invest in herself, go back to school, and got certified as a Coach so that she could combine all her experiences, passions, and talents into one and create the impact she longed for. This is where Human Connection Hub was born.

With a true understanding of what it means to be stuck and a tried and true process of getting out of that cycle, Alex put her thoughts into action and started to build her coaching business.  

After completing her certifications at ICF certified and accredited Yes Supply out of Toronto, Ontario, Canada, she was armed with powerful techniques combined with her valuable experience to be able to help people move powerfully through their challenges. 

She currently lives back in Kelowna (in the same town she grew up in — how weird is that?) with her fur kids Frank and Meela Grace. 

Today, Alex is making an impact globally, helping people all over the world get “unstuck” and into the businesses of their dreams through her online group and 1:1 coaching. She is deeply grateful to be able to do what she loves daily.
